Make your own Fresh Basil Pesto

Total Time: 5 minutes


2 cups packed fresh home-grown basil leaves

2 Garlic Cloves (optional)

1/4 cup pine nuts (or a mixture of pine nuts and mac-nuts)

2/3 cups extra-virgin olive oil, coconut oil, or avocado oil

Sea Salt & Freshly fround black pepper, to taste


COmbine the basil, garlic, and pine nuts in a food processor (or blender) and pulse until coarsely choopped. Add 1/2 cup of oil and process until fully incorporated and smooth. Add the remaning oil and pulse until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
